Holiday Closing

Holiday Closings Emails and Ecards

Communicate with your customers every time you're
closed with holiday closing email messages.

By Steve Lawrence

As more people start to bank online, use ATMs, and move money around from their mobile devices, they tend to visit their local bank or credit union branch less than they did even a few years ago. That doesn't mean that branches should stop communicating with their customers at the branch level; in fact, they may want to step it up!

Consider the holiday closing notices financial institutions put up on their doors during the holidays throughout the year. Many customers suspect their branch will not be open on these days. "Notice of closure" signs are used by banks and credit unions as a courtesy to the few customers who may not be thinking ahead or assume their branch is open during that particular holiday.

Curtis 1000 has recognized that, utilizing a multi-channel approach, we can help you communicate with your customers many more times a year with our holiday closure emails. We have built a series of ecards and HTML emails that announce the bank or credit union closings throughout the year, allowing you to put the message directly in front of all your customers.

How would you use these emails?

Our program gives the bank or credit union a base email design. The graphics represent the spirit of the holiday and try to bring some emotion into the announcement. The copy on the email can be edited, but will be short and to the point. You can use these messages to thank your customers for their business during that year, wish them a safe and enjoyable holiday, and then move directly to the call to action.

A call to action may be as simple as adding a button embedded in the email message that drives customers to your bank or credit union website to view your ATM network, online banking details or telephone banking numbers.

Introduce ecards and HTML holiday closure messages today and bring your bank or credit union door direct to your customer.
